Tweetsie Railfan Weekend A unique Weekend celebrating the history of the ET&WNC Railroad. Special weekend pass required for selected events. Please call 1-877-TWEETSIE for more information. Schedule: Saturday, September 12th 8:30 am - Advance Ticket Holders Railfan Ticket holders can enter the Train Shop area to photograph and visit with the engine crews preparing the locomotives for the day’s runs. 9:00 am - Park Opens Railfan Ticket holders can view the engine crew preparing the locomotives for the day’s runs. 9:30 am - First run of the #190 Wild West Train. Approx. 10:00 am – First run of the #12 Train. Enjoy a journey around Roundhouse Mountain on board Coach #5, pulled by Engine #12. This train will be making a non-stop trip (no train shows). Due to the age and design of Coach #5 it is not wheelchair accessible. Last Train will depart around 4:45. 9:30 am – 5:30 pm – Memorabilia Room Open. Memorabilia Room in Tweetsie Junction open for Railfan Ticket holders. Age 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult. 9:30 am – 5:00 pm – Both #12 and #190 trains running. 11:00 am & 3:00 pm – Train Shop Tours. Train Shop Tours for Railfan Ticket Holders. Age 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult. 6:00 pm – Photo Special An exclusive opportunity for Railfan Ticket Holders only to photograph engine #12, complete with all the Tweetsie rolling stock including coach #5. Locations for the photo run-bys will be the trestle and the frontier outpost, with two chances to photograph the train at each stop. All Day – Cab Rides Cab Rides available to Railfan Ticket holders at the discretion of the engineers on a first come basis. One person per ride on #12 and #190 (age 13 and up.) All Day – Historic Documentaries Films detailing the history of #12 and #190 will be shown in the Memorabilia Room.
